Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth (or water)
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano (or Italian seasoning)

Optional Add-Ins for Extra Flavor:

  • 1 tsp soy sauce (adds umami)
  • 1 tsp honey (for a hint of sweetness)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Lemon slices (for freshness)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
✔️ Pat dry the chicken breasts with a paper towel.
✔️ Season generously with your preferred spice blend.
✔️ If using fresh garlic or lemon slices, place them on top of the chicken.
  • Step 2: Add Liquid & Set Up Instant Pot
✔️ Pour 1 cup of chicken broth (or water) into the Instant Pot.
✔️ Place a trivet or steamer rack inside (optional but recommended for easy removal).
✔️ Lay the chicken breasts on top of the trivet, keeping them in a single layer.
  • Step 3: Pressure Cook the Chicken
✔️ Close the lid and set the valve to “Sealing.”
✔️ Select “Pressure Cook” (Manual) on HIGH pressure and set the time based on the chicken’s state
  • Step 4: Natural Release vs. Quick Release
✔️ Let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes after cooking.
✔️ Then, turn the valve to “Venting” to release any remaining steam.
  • Step 5: Rest, Slice, & Serve!
✔️ Remove the chicken and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
✔️ Slice, shred, or dice the chicken based on how you want to use it.
✔️ Serve as-is or with your favorite sauces, sides, or salads!
